JOIN A CAR CLUB

As any true fan of Sebring knows, the raceway has on-track activity nearly 300 days a year. Many of these days are filled with car clubs and high-performance driving schools. It’s easier than you might think to participate in one or more of these clubs or schools, and with so many options, there is likely an opportunity that fits your interests and your budget.

From Sebring Driving Club, which visits the raceway twice a month, every month, and promotes itself as an intimate low-traffic membership opportunity, to the Lucas Oil School of Racing, which provides a turn-key opportunity, including cars, primarily for younger drivers aspiring to become professionals, one of the clubs below will fill your needs.

CLUBS

SEBRING DRIVING CLUB

Sebring Driving Club is accepting a limited number of members for its driving club, allowing open-track time (no sessions) and very little traffic. One annual membership fee allows members access to Sebring International Raceway twice monthly and a place of belonging among like-minded people passionate about motorsports and relishing driving on a legendary racetrack. As part of your membership, world-class driver Shane Lewis, a former Rolex 24 at DAYTONA winner, provides coaching to up to 65 members. Several membership positions remain. Limited to 65 members.

LUCAS OIL SCHOOL OF RACING

Lucas Oil School of Racing trains many young drivers on how to competitively race open-wheel formula cars. Since its inception, the school has awarded hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships, enabling students to move up the racing ladder in their pursuit of becoming a professional race car driver. The school provides the cars and equipment necessary and offers four program levels – Basic (entry level), Basic Plus, Advanced, and Championship Race Series.

PERFORMANCE DRIVING GROUP

Performance Driving Group provides HPDE (high-performance driving events) opportunities for drivers at all levels. In addition to driving instructors, entry-level drivers have the option of renting cars from PDG to get their experience started. Other more advanced drivers, with their cars, work with PDG on coaching, car preparation advice, classroom sessions, and limited entry events to provide as much open track time as possible.

SKIP BARBER RACING SCHOOL

Skip Barber Racing School offers multiple educational programs, from one-, two-, and three-day racing schools, to two-day advanced racing schools, a one-day driving school, and also corporate events. Skip Barber Racing School has served as a training program for all levels of drivers, including IndyCar and NASCAR champions as well as novice, casual enthusiasts.

SCCA

Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) is a national membership organization providing inexpensive annual memberships, and on-track activities at Sebring through the Central Florida Region of SCCA (CFRSCCA). CFRSCCA operates multiple events at Sebring and virtually any type of car and driver is welcome to attend activities. Some events are held over multiple days, and other activities, such as Track Night in America, a single event events providing a truly introductory opportunity to any racing enthusiast.

SUNCOAST PORSCHE CLUB OF AMERICA

The Florida Suncoast Region Porsche Club is a membership organization serving Porsche owners and enthusiasts in the counties of Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota. In addition to the many benefits of membership, Suncoast PCA members have track time opportunities at Sebring racing from casual laps to more serious activities in the annual 48 Hours at Sebring organized and promoted by Suncoast and Gold Coast regions.

Chin Track Days

Open to entry-level, novice, and experienced drivers, Chin Track Days will assign entry-level drivers a qualified instructor. The instructor accompanies the driver as a passenger, and the driver receives real-time feedback and coaching on advanced driving skills, track etiquette, and safety. Novice driver training also includes two hours of indoor classroom instruction. A Master Instructor provides lecture training on car control, vehicle dynamics, road course fundamentals and safety.

Track Day Xperience

Track Day Xperience is a premier high-performance driving program for drivers from novice to experienced. Sebring is one of multiple tracks visited by Track Day Xperience. Participants can hone their skills that can be used on highways as well as racetracks.

NASA

NASA (National Auto Sport Association) HPDE (high performance driving events) activities provide participants a certified instructor to help guide them through the event, one on one, as they learn how to handle their car at the limit. NASA stages events at three levels – HPDE, Time Trials for more advanced drivers and full racing activities for the most advanced participants.

APEX DRIVING EVENTS

Catering to professional drivers and teams, or high-level amateurs, registration for Apex Driving Events is restricted to the following classes of race cars: GT4, GT3, LMP, Carrera Cup, Ferrari Challenge, or Super Trofeo.

COSMO-SPORT

Cosmo-Sport Track Events offers premium, limited-attendance open testing. Designed for race teams and drivers who want the feel of a private track rental with maximum quality track time. Led by professional driver Guy Cosmo, Cosmo-Sport serves the auto racing industry, teams, drivers, media outlets, brands, and sponsors. Services include driver training, driver development, concierge racing services and brokerage, customer racing programs, automotive event management, race program management, and more.

David Murry Track Days

David Murry Track Days is a forum for experienced drivers to explore the limits of their skill and equipment. With verifiable credentials, David Murry Track Days offers dynamic, interactive classroom presentations and personal coaching with current professional race car drivers.

Max Track Time

Max Track Time is a testing program for drivers with a valid racing license or having previous and verifiable open-track/open-passing experience. It is designed for test days to provide experienced drivers the opportunity to maximize their race prep in their cars. It is for drivers who want more "seat time" or for race teams seeking additional testing opportunities.
