Audi will also have a strong presence in the 51st Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan. 26-27 at Daytona International Speedway. Three teams will field four Audi R8 GRAND-AMs, with a strong factory presence in each of the team's lineups.
Orlando-based Rum Bum Racing makes its Rolex Series debut with the No. 13 R8, with factory pilots Frank Biela, Christopher Haase and FIA GT1 World Champion Markus Winkelhock joining team regular Matt Plumb. Alex Job Racing of Tavares will have the No. 24 WeatherTech R8 for Audi drivers Filipe Albuquerque, Oliver Javis and Edoardo Mortara, who will be joined by Dion von Moltke. APR returns with a pair of R8s, the No. 52 to be driven by factory drivers Marc Basseng, Rene Rast and Frank Stippler. APR regular and former Rolex 24 winner Ian Baas will lead the No. 51 entry.
"We are excited to see Audi stepping up its presence in the flagship events for both series - the Rolex 24 At Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring," said GRAND-AM President and CEO Ed Bennett. "That's a great indication of exciting times to come for sports car fans - both in America and worldwide."
